Advanced Communication
Skills for Effective Coaching (2 days)
An intensive two days that offers experienced coaches further
communication skills development. It concentrates on questioning,
rapport and sorting criteria. Video feedback is an especially
useful aspect of this workshop.
Coaching Skills for Managers (2 days)
These two days provide managers with a basic toolkit of skills
for this critical, yet often neglected, aspect of management.
By the end of the workshop participants will be able to coach
their staff effectively in almost any aspect of work.
Effective Facilitation (2 days)
The ability to facilitate effectively is a major asset for managers. Using the facilitation model
developed over the last twenty five years by the Institute
for the Development of Human Potential, this workshop aims
to provide participants with practice and feedback in key
skill areas with a strong theoretical context of group dynamics
and social change.
Managerial Consulting Skills (2 days)
The ability of managers to act as internal consultants to
their own and other staff is becoming increasingly important
as more work becomes project-based. This two-day programme
presents managers with consultancy models and then develops
both generic consultancy skills and skills in process definition
and environmental scanning.
Mentoring (1 day)
Organisations are
increasingly recognising the value of mentoring in helping
staff to settle quickly and effectively into the organisation
or new roles, to work through difficulties at work, to develop
their skills, or to think about career development. However,
in many cases people are given the role of mentor with little
preparation or training. This one day workshop provides new
mentors with an understanding of what constitutes effective
mentoring and with the basic skills they will need.
